Joint accounts
Opening an account for two, and what each holder can do.
A joint current account has two holders. Each holder has their own debit card and sign-in, and each can see and use all of the money.
- Both holders must agree to open, close or change the overdraft.
- Either holder can make payments and set up standing orders.
- If you separate, either holder can ask us to freeze the account so that payments need both of you.
Open a joint account in a branch, with both holders there.
